The Gujarat government will soon send a detailed proposal to the Centre, seeking funds for the various e-Governance projects being implemented in the state

At a state-level workshop organised in  Gandhinagar on June 26,2009  to create awareness on the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), senior officials apprised Shankar Aggarwal, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology, Government of India, of the various e-Governance

projects being undertaken by the state government. A senior official in the state Science and Technology department told Newsline on Saturday that the government has already started executing its ambitious Integrated Finance Management System (IFMS), linking all the district and sub-treasuries with the Finance Department.

Besides, 10 other e-Governance projects are at various stages of implementation, he added.
