About eGovWorld 2012

The mission of e-Gov World initiative is to enable a structured framework for e-Government cooperation among the stakeholders from developing and developed countries for sharing of learning practices. The annual e-GovWorld event is the forum that provides and opportunity to consultants, government agencies, academia and civil society organizations to deliberate on various issues related to the domain and showcase their initiatives/ applications.

1. Background:One of the flagship initiatives of The Society for Promotion of e-Governance, e-Gov World is one of the most reputed platforms for the government practitioners, industry, academia and civil society organizations to share their learning practices and develop the foresight for transforming government services.

2.  Program Advisory Board : The agenda for e-GovWorld 2012 is finalized  in consultation with the eminent experts from government, Industry , media , academia, multilateral development agencies and civil society organizations.

3. Organiser's Profile: e-GovWolrd 2012 is organized with the participation and support of various organizations from Industry , Government , Development and Civil Society domains.

4. Key Achievements : There are many initiatives which were initiated during the deliberations in e-Govworld that went on to become policy strategies of government of India. The organizers will strive to make e-GovWorld 2012 as the catalyst to beginning of the mobile governance revolution in the South Asian Region.
